1976691 - Heavy queries running on BO Database and slow performance of BO application

Symptom

  • Several queries run in the database and the database is unusable, BO users are not enable to refresh reports.
  • The queries run every one or two hours.
  • These queries have not been generated by a report or by a user and no users are logged in the application.
  • Report schedules are disabled.
  • Explorer indexing is disabled.
  • The query that is seen running is similar to "select distinct sum(<<mytable>>.<<myfield>>) from <<mytable>>" and <<myfield>>.
  • The queries are runnning with user database "xxx" (is the user used in "connection" ) and database queries are labeled as "SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise".
  • The database affected is not the CMS database but the company DataWareHouse.
