1976769 - Introscope Enterprise Manager rejects new agents after reaching 400 connected agents

Symptom

  • In the APM console status there is a message on the parameter introscope.enterprisemanager.agent.connection.limit=400.
  • After performing the Managed System Configuration for a target system, the Introscope agents cannot be found in the Introscope Investigator. In the IntroscopeEnterpriseManager.log, the following error is shown:
[INFO] [PO Route Down Executor] [Manager] Lost connection at: Node=Agent_824177, Address=agent.sap.com/10.20.05.10:4913, Type=socket

In the IntroscopeAgent.log or jvm_smdagent.log of the affected agent, the following error is shown:

[WARN] [IntroscopeAgent.IsengardServerConnectionManager] Lost contact with the Introscope Enterprise Manager at emserver.sap.com:6001
