Symptom
- When attempting to connect to a Sybase ASE that has Roman 8 as the default charset, the error "Unable to add data connection. Unsupported charset!" will be returned.
- The version of the ASE is not relevant, just the charset on the ASE.
- Using Visual Studio will see the error when attempting to connect to a database using the Tools menu.
