1977545 - Unknown DDIC type "<nn>" for field <name> in table <tablename> during export preparation

Symptom

The export preparation phase in Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM Tool SAP Note: 1680045) fails with an error message:

Process call '<location>\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS<nn>\exe\R3ldctl.exe -p <export location>\ABAP\DATA -l R3ldctlExport.log' exits with error code 2.
For details see log file(s) R3ldctlExport.log

The file 'R3ldctlExport.log' shows an error like:

(DDL) ERROR: Unknown DDIC type "78" for field PRICE in table FTR_AVG_ASGN

The value for 'field' and 'table' are only examples.
