Symptom

  • User session terminates unexpectedly and ASE server shuts down abruptly.
  • ASE error log contains an "Infected with Signal 11" error in the module kbfalloc().
  • The spid is holding a spinlock DATACHG_SPIN.
  • Stacktrace contains the following functions:

kbfalloc
ubfallocf
ptn__pdes_init_colupdcnt
ptn_pdes_install
ptn__pdes_install
ptn__pdes_init_fromrow
