1978696 - Component Monitor fails to start after system upgrade

Symptom

After a system upgrade, Component Monitor (http://<host>:<port>/ -> Configuration and Monitoring Home -> Monitoring -> Component Monitor) fails to start with one of the following errors:

  • Application com.sap.xi.tsam.mdt is not started; start the application and try again
  • Anwendung com.sap.xi.itsam.mdt wurde nicht gestartet; starten Sie die Anwendung und versuchen Sie es erneut

However, it's observed, that the com.sap.xi.tsam.mdt application is started:
