SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

1979216 - CA Introscope Enterprise Manager returns "Shutting down the EM because of disk I/O failure in 5 continuous timeslices."

Symptom

  • CA Wily Introscope Enterprise Manager shuts down
  • IntroscopeEnterpriseManager.log contains:
    TimeStamp [WARN] [master clock] [Manager] EM load exceeds hardware capacity. Timeslice data is being aggregated into longer periods.
    TimeStamp [ERROR] [Smartstor/Superstor Spool] [Manager] Can't write timeslice 1382006985000 to spool: java.io.SyncFailedException: sync failed
    TimeStamp [ERROR] [Smartstor/Superstor Spool] [Manager] Can't write timeslice 1382007015000 to spool: java.io.IOException: A remote host did not respond within the timeout period.
    (...)
    TimeStamp [ERROR] [master clock] [Manager] Shutting down the EM because of disk I/O failure in 5 continuous timeslices.
