1979466 - DOWNCONF_DTTRANS : Warning: The replication process of the near downtime mode is still running.

Symptom

  • During an upgrade with Software Update Manager (SUM), the following is seen in MAIN_DTTRANS/DOWNCONF_DTTRANS:

=========== Preparations for Downtime ===========
The procedure has reached the end of the "Preprocessing" step.
Perform the following actions:
...
*WARNING:* The online replication of your downtime minimized upgrade procedure
is still processing (Replication not running)!
*The replication process of the upgrade procedure is not running!*
Before starting the downtime, the replication process must be started and the
replication rate of recorded changes must reach at least 75 percent. See *SAP
note 2351880*
On selecting "next" the online replication will be stopped, the downtime will
be entered and the final replication will be started.
Stopping the online replication too early may result in a longer downtime.
You can now check the status and progress of the online replication using
transaction "CRR_CONTROL" in the shadow system
  • The upgrade is hanging
