1979644 - Historical Changes of Org Units are not Captured in the Migration Template for Organizational Structure

You have received a new Productive system which is a copy of another existing Productive system. Through the migration activity, you completed the migration of Organizational Structures.

In the Planning Area of the Organizational Structure, you have observed that the most of the Org Units are detached from its parents and as well, some org units are missing which exists in the Migration Template.

The cause for the issue is that the detached org units and missing org units have some historical changes. For Example, the Org Units were moved from a particular parent to another parent during a particular period.

The migration template which was extracted from the old system doesn’t capture the changes of any org units.

To find whether there was any movement (or transfer) of Org Units, you can check the Timelines tab of missing org unit in old system.

This is a limitation in the Migration Template that the changes to an Org Unit are not captured in the Migration Template.

Currently, the only possible work around is to manually perform the changes after completing the migration.

We will include this as a new requirement and fix it in one of the upcoming releases of Business ByDesign.
