1980658 - Project Tasks Of Account Assignment Should Belong To The Same Project

While splitting the Account Assignment for a single line item of Purchase Order between two Projects system throws an error message as  Project tasks of account assignment should belong to the same project.
 

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
2. Choose the New Purchase Order under Common Tasks.
3. Create a Purchase Order.
4. Enter required mandatory details.
5. When you try to split the account assignment for a single line item of purchase order between two Projects the above mentioned error will be shown.

If you have multiple line items ABC and EFG in the purchase order you can assign one line item ABC to Project 1 and the line team EFG to Project 2.

Even you can split the account assignment for a purchase order single line item among two different Project Task but not between the two different Projects.

You cannot split the cost of single line team among two different projects and the system will throw an error message as Project tasks of account assignment should belong to the same project

For example, for line item ABC, the account assignment can be split as follows:
- 20% — Project Task 1
- 80% — Project Task 2
But both the project task should belong to the same Project.

System works as designed.
