1981400 - Doc.Itm XX/YY: AccrualMeth. Assignment For Fixed Price Project Incomplete

The revenue recognition run finishes with the error message "Doc.Itm XX/YY: AccrualMeth. Assignment For Fixed Price Project Incomplete" (XX/YY represents a fix-price sales order item ID) .

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Cost and Revenue work center.
2. Go to the Periodic Tasks view.
3. Click on the Revenue Recognition subview.
4. Select the revenue recognition run  XYZ. (XYZ represents revenue recognition run ID).
5. Select the Processed with Errors sub-tab.
6. The error "Doc.Itm XX/YY: AccrualMeth. Assignment For Fixed Price Project Incomplete" appears for sales order item XX-YY. 

Not all fix-price sales order items connected to project ABC use accrual method 108 - Recognize using cost-to-cost project POC. However, as all project cost and revenue is bundled into one leading sales order item, all fix-price items of the same project must use accrual method 108 (ABC represents the project associated with sales order item XX-YY).

1. In the Sales Document Items view of the Cost and Revenue workcenter open the advanced search.
2. Under Related Documents, in the Project ID field enter ABC.
3. Under Accounting Data filter for Revenue Type 3 - Project Sales (Fixed Price). 
4. Press Go. 

Now ensure that accrual method 108 is assigned to all fix-price sales order items.
