1981840 - SUM-UPDATE_DBSTATS_SHDCLONE phase Error 2706:"Table does not exist" - SAP ASE for BS

Symptom

You are updating SAP systems running on SAP ASE database via SUM.

  • SUM fails during UPDATE_DBSTATS_SHDCLONE phase with the Error 2706: Table does not exist. Phase UPDATE_DBSTATS_SHDCLONE updates the table/index statistics on the newly generated Shadow instance.
  • Per the SYBSTATS.LOG:

"Updating statistics for table "SAPSR3./OSP/T_AUDIT_USR~"
Msg 2706, Level 11, State 1: Server 'PRD', Line 1: Table '"SAPSR3./OSP/T_AUDIT_USR~"' does not exist.
Msg 17461, Level 16, State 1: Server 'PRD', Procedure 'sp_flushstats', Line 105: Object does not exist in this database.

(return status = 1)

  • The tables do physically exist on the shadow instance / ASE database.
