1984140 - SUM Error: Your system appears to be in an unsound state Cause: missing /proc file system

In the preparation roadmap of Software Update Manager (SUM) the following error was reported:

Your system appears to be in an unsound state. Correct the following issues before you continue:

ABC_host_00

msg_server GRAY STOPPED

disp+work GRAY STOPPED

igswd_mt GRAY STOPPED

The system is up and running, but the output of the sapcontrol command shows (in the example the sysnr = 00):

sapcontrol -nr 00 -function GetProcessList
ReturnCode=  4 ontrol -nr 00 -function GetProcessList
