1987852 - Error in Upgrade at MAIN_SHDRUN/DDIC_UPG : "is system dependent and must not be imported"

Symptom

  • During an upgrade using the Software Update Manager (SUM), it stops with an error at Phase MAIN_SHDRUN/DDIC_UPG
  • in the DDICUPG.ELG log there are lines: 

Directory: /upgradepath/XXX/SUM/abap/log
Name: DDICUPG.ELG
