1988043 - Warning Message RSPLS_CR 027 / RSPLS_CR027 in a BW Query

Symptom

When a characteristic uses 'Characteristic Relationship' Setting for 'Access Type for Result Values' in a BW query:

the following warning message might display:

Maximum number of &1 characteristic combinations exceeded
Diagnosis
In characteristic relationship definition for InfoCube xxx, xxx is set as the maximum number of characteristic relationships that can be generated according to the default value. However, according to the parameters currently set, the number of combinations to be generated is xxx.
System Response
The combinations cannot be generated.
Procedure
Check Customizing for the query or planning function. It is probable that the selections determined in the filter are not restrictive enough. If necessary, you can increase the maximum number of default combinations in the characteristic relationships accordingly.
