SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

1989716 - SUP 2.1.3 RSOE receiving message: Error: Encountered authentication error with Relay Server. Farm ID or backend server ID could be invalid .

Symptom

  • Relay Server Outbound Enabler Version 12.0.1.3750 cannot connect to the Relay Server.
  • RSOE Log Shows:
    <UpChannel-0001> Successfully connected to relay server: Host Name:443
    <UpChannel-0001> Error: Encountered authentication error with Relay Server.  Farm ID or backend server ID could be invalid.
  • <UpChannel-0001> Failed to read response from Relay Server. Connection closed by server!
  • Relay Server Log shows:
    <6608.3936.F0B7Dn> RSE3004: Communication error [SYS10054: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host...] occurred while reading from down channel of backend server 'RBS-US6501appp-2' in backend farm 'RBS'
