1992179 - Missing Report View in Broadcasting

Symptom

You want to know why the report View you created in the report is not available for selection while broadcasting the report.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Analytics work center
  2. Go to Broadcasts
  3. Enter the Name, select Object Type,in this case it is a Report.
  4. Choose the report from the value help under Object Name.
  5. Fill in the details for Channel, Subject, Message.
  6. Under the Recipients section, click on Add button and enter the To (E-Mail Address).
  7. Under Format and Content section fill in the Format.
  8. Click on the dropdown for View.

Cause

The reason why the View you had created in the report is not available for selection in broadcasting is because the View was not created from Business Analytics work center.

The View would have been created from any of the work centers to which the report was assigned to.

Resolution

Open the same report from Business Analytics work center and recreate the same View and Save it.

Now while broadcasting the report, the View will be available for selection.
