1993318 - Getting error "The variable is not valid. Please verify its pertinency and retry", while updating an attribute using restful web services.

Symptom

  • When an attribute is updated using Restful web services, the dimensionId has to be provided. If the dimensionId is not mentioned, then the following error is returned in response:
    “The variable is not valid. Please verify its pertinence and retry.”

  • For an attribute created through Webi Rich Client, associated dimension is not mandatory.
