1994145 - The Web Intelligence viewer is slow show reports (4 minutes)

Symptom

  • Viewing Web Intelligence Reports from the BI Launch Pad
  • It takes 4 minutes to eventually show the Webi report
  • No errors in the browser, but it takes the same amount of time for the report to be displayed

End to end trace

  • An end to end trace shows 20 second delays
    { START OUTGOING CALL Outgoing: FROM [BIPSDK.EnterpriseSession:getService#BO-DEV-WEB-1:1196:42.2214:7]�
    OUTGOING tenant = 0�
    TenantClientRequestInterceptor: INCOMING tenant = 0�
    } END OUTGOING CALL Outgoing: (NO RESPONSE) SPENT [20.015] FROM [BIPSDK.EnterpriseSession:getService#BO-DEV-WEB-1:1196:42.2214:7]�
  • There are also entries in the log indicating a BI server can't be found
    pingServerFactory(): server doesn't exist, cms=bo-server.domain.com:6400,name=bo-server.APS.Auditing,kind=pjs
    pingServerFactory(): server doesn't exist, cms=bo-server.domain.com:6400,name=bo-server.APS.Search,kind=pjs
