1994643 - SAP BI Mobile App does not work with forms based authentication on Android devices

Symptom

  • While using Forms based Authentication (Siteminder), the SAP BI Mobile App does not work as expected on Android mobile devices
  • On Android devices, the app fails with the following Error "Connection to the server could not be established; try again or contact your administrator(MOB06031)"
  • The error occurs right after CMS system login credentials were provided where it was supposed to show the login form from the forms based authentication
  • However the same App works fine with forms based authentication on iOS devices (iPhone and iPad).
