1997052 - Error 8037 was logged in the in ads_err.dbf during start of the Advantage Database Server daemon

Symptom

  • After installing Advantage Database Server on Linux the daemon won't start and the error "Advantage Database Server initialization failure. ADS will be stopped." was logged in the ads_log.txt file.
  • Also, the ads_err.dbf file contains an entry with an error 8037: (No IP network adapters found).
  • The hosts fully-qualified domain name is added to the loopback address line "127.0.0.1" in the etc/hosts file.
