1997385 - Infected with signal 11 at proc__findcachedSQLplan() - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A process may get infected with signal 11 at proc__findcachedSQLplan()  producing a stack trace with the following functions in it:

proc__findcachedSQLplan()
procrm()
freeprocs()
mem_getpages()

  • If the process terminated was holding a spinlock, the server will crash
  • ASE error log will contain lines similar to the following:
