1998406 - Error "nrpacket: recv, Protocol error" during SWPM patch deployment - SAP ASE for BS

Symptom

  • Patch deployment on an ECC system via Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM) as well as SGEN, experience random disconnects.
  • The only error is a corresponding message received in the ASE errorlog (/sybase/<SID>/ASE-15_0/install/<SID>.log):

"nrpacket: recv, Protocol error"
