Symptom

A popup saying "The application was stopped due to a critical rendering error".

The detailed error message might be one of following or etc...:

  • The standards mode is not supported for document modes less than 8 (Note 1674501).
    Rendering Error
  • The IE compatibility view is not supported (Note 1586993).
     Rendering Error 2
  • The device "standards" cannot be used in the IE compatibility view (Note 1586993).
    Rendering Error 3
