Symptom

  • User application hangs (typically Java jConnect) during large batch insert.
  • spid remains stuck with status "send sleep" in sp_who
  • dbcc stacktace(<hung_spid>) shows:

Simllarly on AIX , a spid sending results to a client is hung in 'send sleep'
