2001960 - Difference of Characteristic Values in Variant Configuration Models: Displayed Values vs. Saved Values

Symptom

The displayed values of characteristics in a variant configuration model are different from the characteristic values that are saved in the database table IBSYMBOL. For example, characteristic values of a configurable material are displayed in a sales order (transaction VA02/VA03). These values are different from the values in the table IBSYMBOL (transaction CUTABLEINFO), which contains the saved values.

  1. in a sales order: transaction VA02/VA03 
  2. in material variant: transaction MM02/MM03 
  3. in equipment: transaction IE02/IE03
