2002275 - Error running ABAP dataflow with carriage returns in fields similar to: "A row delimiter was seen for row number <x> while processing column number <y> in file <z>. The row delimiter should be seen after <x> columns. Check the file for bad data, or redefine the input schema for the file by editing the file"

When loading data from an SAP Applications Data store in Data Services 4.x that has entries in a lchr type field or similar that span more than one line you receive the following or similar error message:

FIL-080105 4/7/2014 12:13:34 PM A row delimiter was seen for row number <x> while processing column number <y> in file <z>. The row delimiter should be seen after <x> columns. Check the file for bad data, or redefine the input schema for the file by editing the file

• Data Services 4.1 or later
• Batch job using an ABAP Dataflow
• SAP Applications Datastore using data transfer method other than RFC (Shared directory, FTP).
