2008278 - After BI Platform 4.0 SP9 Patch 1 Upgarde, WdeployGUI stopped working on Windows

Symptom

  • After upgrade to BI Platform 4.0 SP9 patch 1, WdeployGUI stopped working
  • When launching it, you could see the main window as below:
    4-22-2014 16-05-01.png
  • However, after clicking on the Run button, the progress window pops up and disapears right away
  • No logs are generated, nothing can be seen in the Event Viewer
