2008433 - Open Switch: Aborts query with identity column with Message number 16159:srv_descfmt(): Invalid status (0x85c0) in CS_DATAFMT - SAP SWT

Symptom

Run a dynamic query with a IDENTITY column, eg:

select top 1 Test from tempdb..Test 

against SAP OpenSwitch. SAP OpenSwitch raises following error:

srv_descfmt(): Invalid status (0x85c0) in CS_DATAFMT

and aborts the query.
