Environment

Hana Cloud Integration for data services (HCI) provides two functions to return current system date and time:

  • SYSDATE() - returns the date and time in the local time zone of the HCI Agent machine.
    • SYSDATE() is used with on-premise source systems (such as ECC or APO) that track time in their local time zone.
  • SYSUTCDATE() - returns the date and time in UTC (Universal Coordinated Time).
    • UTC is also known as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
    • SYSUTCDATE() is used with SAP Cloud Applications (such as Sales and Operations Planning) which track time as UTC.
