2009542 - Bad data is returned when querying page-compressed APL tables on SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Tables contain fixed-length column
  • Tables are All Pages Locking (APL)
  • Page level compression is configured
  • Querying these tables return bad data

select * from <tab> returns bad rows and select * from <tab> where <col> = "X" returns the correct data
