2009600 - 'Cannot Access External data' error #2170 when accessing a dashboard with HTTPs

Symptom

  • Dashboard contains web services connections defined as HTTPS url
  • Crossdomain files are configured and accessed correctly
  • The site certificate is present in the browser ( IE Internet options > Content > Certificates)
  • Unable to refresh the dashboard
  • The Fiddler/HTTPwatch trace show that the crossdomain file cannot be accessed due to a certificate error
  • Crossdomain error is displayed
