2009950 - Users receive error "Account Information Not Recognized: Access is denied" logging into CMC and BIlaunchpad with SAP alias

Symptom

  • Error "Account Information Not Recognized: Access is denied" during logging in BI Launch Pad and CMC
  • Behavior occurs only for SAP Users, Enterprise Users can login without problem
  • SAP users with enterprise, AD, or LDAP aliases can login with their other alias as well
  • SAP users can login to client tools (designer, IDT, Aoffice, etc) without the error
  • The user can actually login but is denied permissions to the application later in the authorization process
  • In the CMS trace something like Security::IsAllowed( U=12345,R=6,Ob=12345,Own=12345,T=19 ) : IsAllowed=false defined=true  will be displayed in the CMS logs
