2010708 - Option to Remove the Activity is not Available While Creating An Expense Report

Symptom

You have configured the system in order to make Activity field visible while creating an Expense Report but you don't find any way to select blank or remove selected Activity in the Expense Report header.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Select the relevant project and press Edit button.
  3. Navigate to Questions.
  4. Find the question Activity-related Reimbursement rates - US and add in scope. 
  5. Open the Activity List and find Activity-related Reimbursement - US.
  6. Maintain activities like ABC and XYZ and save the changes.
  7. Go to the Travel & Expense work center.
  8. Create an expense report.
  9. Select Activity ABC from the drop-down.
  10. Now in case you want to de-select the same, option to select the blank is not available in the dropdown.

Cause

Default option to select blank doesn’t come because it is user defined activity and only user defined entries like ABC, XYZ will be available for selection.

Resolution

In case you would like to remove the Activity, mark the entry and press Delete on the keyboard to de-select.

  1. Go to the Travel & Expense work center.
  2. Create an expense report.
  3. Select Activity ABC from the drop-down.
  4. Press Delete button on the keyboard.
