2012629 - IOMS installer appears to be stuck for a long time during patch install

Symptom

  • While installing IOMS patch for BI 4.1 SP2, the installer seems to be stuck at the "undeploying web content" step for a long time
  • Upon reviewing the the <IOMS install folder>\InstallData\logs\<install-timestamp-folder>\SetupEngine.log, it is clear that IOMS installer seems to be waiting on something for several minutes which explains the hang behavior
