2013265 - Crystal Report based off Excel fails with Error: Database Vendor Code: -1023

Symptom

  • Viewing on Demand/Scheduling a Crystal Reports based off an Excel data source using the Microsoft Excel ODBC middleware fails with the error message "Error in File ~tmpXXX.rpt: Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. Details: [Database Vendor Code: -1023 ]"
  • The report can be viewed/refreshed successfully from the Crystal Reports Designer.
