2015057 - DBA Cockpit reports error SQL950 "Database 'saptools is currently offline..." after upgrade - SAP ASE for Business Suite

Symptom

  • During or after upgrade, DBA Cockpit reports the following errors and does not work:

SQL Message: ASE Error SQL950 Database 'saptools' is currently offline. Please wait and try your command again later.
ASE Error SQL4001 Cannot open default database 'saptools'. 

  • ASE errorlog shows the following:

This database requires upgrade, but its log is nearly full. Extend the log, or try 'DUMP TRAN saptools WITH NO_LOG', then retry ONLINE DATABASE.
