2015659 - Cannot specify an index prefix length for index columns – MySQL – SAP PD 16.5.3

Symptom

  • Cannot define length value for index columns in PowerDesigner using the following syntax:

CREATE INDEX Index_1 ON Table_1 (Col_1(255)).

  • Without this length value defined, an error may be returned when executing the SQL script:

"Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes".
