SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

2017092 - ZDATE_ILLEGAL_LOCTIME or ZDATE_LARGE_TIME_DIFF in VMWare environments.

Symptom

Short dumps  ZDATE_ILLEGAL_LOCTIME or ZDATE_LARGE_TIME_DIFF happen in Sap System.

Also errors might be observed in developer traces similar to the following:

*** ERROR => 24.09.2013 21:58:04.800 PID=4216, TID=3312#SapTimer
error. SapTime differs from Windows time. ERRORS: 0,
SapTime-WindowsUtcTime=-10814 seconds.


*** ERROR => 13.06.2013 01:42:18.693 PID=2840, TID=3920#SapTimer error.
Time may be incorrect on your system. Windows time jumped approx +1788
seconds.  Slept 1014 millisec


This KBA is not intended for problems when converting summer time <-> winter time
