2018728 - Unable to Renew Soon Expiring Purchasing Contract due to Missing Negotiate Button

You are unable to renegotiate the soon expiring purchasing contract because of missing Negotiate button.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sourcing and Contracting work center.
  2. Select the Contracts view.
  3. Select the task with subject: Check Expired Purchasing Contract XYZ.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. The contract opens in the new screen but the Negotiate button is missing.

Once the contract is negotiated, a sourcing request is created. But Sourcing Requests option is not selected in scoping, so the Negotiate button is missing in the contract.

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center .
  2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select All Current Projects Query in the Show field.
  4. Select Edit Project Scope button.
  5. Go to Guided activity step 3 Scoping.
  6. Go to Scoping step and then select the arrow beside Sourcing.
  7. Select the arrow beside Sourcing and Contracting.
  8. Select the checkbox beside Sourcing Requests.
  9. Select Next until Finish button gets enabled.
  10. Select Finish.

Once the above mentioned steps are performed you will be able to see the Negotiate button in the relevant contract.
