2020203 - The deployment wizard for Windows Mobile does not generate a .cab file - SQL Anywhere

Symptom

  • The "Deploy to Windows Mobile" (* administrative tool is unable to create a .cab file, which is needed for the deployment of SQL Anywhere on a Windows Mobile device.

  • The last step of the wizard shows the following error message:

Running CabWiz ...
CabWiz Command Line:
"<SQLABY16>\ce\cabwiz\cabwiz.exe" "<destination directory>\<destination base file name>.inf" /dest "<destination directory>\" /compress
CabWiz Output:
Windows CE CAB Wizard
Error: CAB file "<destination directory>\<destination base file name>.CAB" could not be created

Error creating .CAB file
<destination directory>\<destination base file name>.CAB
Warning: 8.3 filename support may have been disabled. This is required by Microsoft CabWiz
