2021555 - Cannot uninstall BODS 3.2 SP4 - Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from file : C:\WINNT\Installer\di.msi - SAP Data Services 3.2

Symptom

  • The uninstallation of BODS 3.2 SP4 fails  during an attempt to downgrade to BODS 3.2.
  • Control Panel Uninstall does not work - error message obtained:
    • "Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from file : C:\WINNT\Installer\di.msi. Fatal error during installation"
  • Manual process does not resolve the problem either.
