2021852 - Issues with Refreshing in Cockpits

Symptom

The circumstances in which changes of a type attribute, updated upstream, should trigger a cockpit refresh are:

  • Jalo/dynamic property: Changes to an attribute that a jalo/dynamic attribute is dependent on should trigger the jalo/dynamic attributes fields refres
  • Interceptor: Interceptor changes to an attribute should trigger the dependent attributes fields refresh.

Case Study

The following case study details how to get an attribute automatically refreshed in the productcockpit view, after it has been updated in a PrepareInterceptor.

Proposition

Let assume that we have an attribute (X) whose value depends on another attribute (Y). In other words, (X) is calculated based on (Y) through a prepareInterceptor.

Expected Result

We expect that any change on attribute (Y) will be reflected on attribute (X) and will be visible without having to manually refresh.

Conclusion

We need to trigger an event each time a change is applied.
