2023731 - Federation Job Fails after Upgrade from BI 4.0 to 4.1

Symptom

  • After upgrade from BI 4.0 to 4.1, the existing Federation job(s) fails to run.
  • In the job instance details, you see the following error message:
    Object failed to run due to an error while processing on the Job Server

  • In the logging directory, the following log files are generated or modified after the job is ran:
    • In jobserver log:
      • java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
        Dumping heap to ......
        Heap dump file created [xxx bytes in yyy secs]
           :    [4448]  22:18:33    ***ERROR (vmError.cpp:2356): java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
