2024077 - RPC calls fail with Error 10330 “EXECUTE permission denied on object <sp_name>, database <db_name>, owner dbo “ - ASE

Symptom

  • An application user makes a remote procedural call (RPC) call to execute a stored procedure and gets a 10330 error:

Msg 10330, Level 14, State 1:
EXECUTE permission denied on object <stored_procedure>, database <database>, owner dbo

  • The 'sa' user has no problem with the same RPC call
  • There was no changes in the application
