2024160 - Multiple XRS1161 and XRS1053 errors are logged in the message log - Afaria

Symptom

The Afaria Message Log is flooded with these Errors:

  • XRS1161: ComApp: SEND DIR Write Tmp File Failed.  [Unable to enumerate files [ <%[AssetHierarchy].GASAHPath>\<%AHDFileName>].  ]EXPLANATION: The SEND DIR command operates by building a list of all
    the files in the directory.  The file to receive this list could not be written.  The Error field value may contain additional information about why the file could not be written.
    ACTIONS: The temporary files are built in the location specified by the TMP environment variable.  Normally this variable points to a temporary directory.  Verify that the TMP environment
    variable is defined and that it points to a valid directory.  Also verify that the temporary directory has sufficient space available to receive the file. If it does not, you should consider
    deleting unused files.
    Error:
    The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
  • XRS1053: ComApp: Unable to load the script '<%[AssetHierarchy].Common>\test.vbs'.
    EXPLANATION: XCOMMS was unable to load the script and returned the following error information: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
    ACTIONS: Review the error message and script's syntax to correct the error.
