2024523 - Reports saved from the CR Designer in .NET IDE have Saved Data enabled

Symptom

  • Saving out a report from the VS .NET IDE retains Saved Data.
  • This behavior is different than Crystal Reports 10.2 and 10.5 which did not retain "Saved Data"

Environment

  • SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Microsoft Visual Studio

Reproducing the Issue

  • CR 10.2 (bundled with VS 2005) and CR 10.5 (bundled with VS 2008) saved out without data.
  • SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio has an additional option added:Untitled.png

 

  • When this option is disabled, the report will save without data, but the option is not global and there is no way to turn this option off.

 

 

Cause

  • The issue has been escalated for a resolution.
