Symptom
- Inserting or selecting from a proxy table that maps to a file system (FS) directory is causing a timeslice error with a stack trace:
timeslice -1501, current process infected
timeslice error: spid 243 exhausted its 'time slice' of 100 milliseconds and additional 'cpu * time' of 1500 ticks (150000 milliseconds). It has been marked for termination.s
- The stack trace may include some of the following functions:
open
open64
basis_dexists
basis_fopen_unix
ufopen
dir_insert_values
Note: A complete stack trace is available under Attachments.
- There are known (expected) issues with timeslicing if there is a huge amount of files in the unix directory, but in this particular instance there were only 600 files there.
