2024529 - Error: "An XSD Exception occurred. Item '8' does not exist in enumeration 'null'. (FWM 04016) (WBP 42029)", when attempting to open a report in Crystal Reports for Enterprise

Symptom

  • Error: "An XSD Exception occurred. Item '8' does not exist in enumeration 'null'. (FWM 04016) (WBP 42029)"  
    Note: The Item number in the error message may be different, it could: 4, 10, 14,..., the above is just an example of the error message.
  • Unable to browse to specific folder to open a report.
  • In Crystal Reports for Enterprise, when attempting to opening a report stored in the SAP BusinessObjects Repository, and selecting a specific folder, it generates the error.
