Symptom
The value of the Target Discount field within an Opportunity is not taken over in the Sales Quote, which was created as a follow up document.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Sales work center.
- Select the Opportunities view.
- Open an Opportunity.
- Select the Products tab.
- Fill in the Target Discount field of the added Product.
- Save changes.
- Select the Sales Documents tab.
- Click the New button and create a new Sales Quote.
- Save and open the new created Sales Quote.
- Select the Products tab.
- The field Discount is empty.
Cause
This is the expected system behaviour.
The field Target Discount within the Opportunity has a different function as the field Discount within the Sales Quote.
Resolution
It is only relevant to use this field only if SAP Cloud for Customer is integrated with SAP Price and Margin Management (SAP PMM by Vendavo).
